What is Distance Learning?
Notaries not wanting to leave the office or who prefer to work at their own pace can opt for “Coaching and mentoring sessions delivered at a distance” as a way of gaining accredited and non- accredited CPE points.
How does LCS's Structured Coaching and Mentoring distance learning work?
Place the order – by email, telephone 020 7630 6000 or download the accredited CPE distance learning order form and post it to us at the address on the form or fax it to us on 0844 824 3406. Indicate how you prefer to pay: by cheque, bank transfer or on receipt of invoice. Once payment is received the study materials are despatched.
Regulation 12.4B of the Notaries (Continuing Professional Education) Regulations 2010 states that accredited CPE hours gained by distance learning must be by way of a written assessment.
Accordingly Law Consultancy Services’ distance learning courses include a questionnaire designed to assess that learning has taken place and objectives are achieved.
The completed questionnaire maybe mailed or emailed for assessment to Law Consultancy Services – full instructions are included with the course materials.
The notary’s questionnaire will be marked and expected to achieve a 70% pass level; failure to do so and the candidate will have the opportunity to resubmit for a second time. A second fail will result in an additional set of questions being posed – an additional charge will be made.
Upon successful submission of the assessment questionnaire, an award certificate will be emailed to you.
