Why you as a Notary Public should be interested in the MyNotary network In short, we are working hard to make it easy for the world at large to find a notary AND offering the opportunity for selected notaries public to increase their fee income. In our experience most Notaries Public are solicitors working in general practise. We are finding that notaries fall into two categories: those that prefer to undertake only notarial work - often working part time, or from home; or from multiple locations – and those that do not seek to interrupt their ‘normal’ legal work with more than the occasional notarial instruction. We understand that the average income for notaries public is £30,000 per year. However many of our notaries earn far, far, far more. We are looking for notaries that wish to increase their notarial income. The notaries we have spoken have found that in the last few years the requirement for the services of Notaries Public has increased enormously. Reasons include increased international trade, security and identity concerns and more and more individuals dealing in foreign real estate - buying and selling property abroad using Powers of Attorney. Couple this increased demand with the fact that the Internet is rapidly becoming the way to locate such a niche service; some notaries public are getting a lot more work and some much less. We are looking for notaries public that want this work. We have found that the business and the general public - especially those outside the UK – needing say a notarised copy of a passport, find it difficult to locate a convenient notary public. Then, having found the name and telephone number of a notary, potential clients are further frustrated to find that some notaries, despite being registered with the Faculty Office (notaries public governing body) are not active or for various reasons are not interested in providing the notarial service. So difficult in fact that those clients are prepared to travel considerable distances or pay enhanced call out charges for notarial services. Are you included? How to review, register or amend your FREE OF CHARGE listing We started off by including the names and address of most of the Notaries Public in England and Wales. From the home page enter the location of the town you practise in, or the post code. Site visitors can also search for a Notary (using ‘advanced search’) by first name, last name, company name and county or telephone numbers. You may find your office marked on the map [fantastic Google mapping that allows the visitor to zoom in and out, view your area by conventional mapping or get a satellite view] and even get detailed instructions on how to find your office. We are in the process of contacting all the listed notaries to enquire if they wish to increase the number of clients requesting their services. And if they do, they are offered either an enhanced listing on the www.MyNotary.co.uk web site, or a premier listing with an exclusive area and additional referrals. Registered notaries have access to private members forum.
We have noticed that many Solicitor/Notary web sites don’t make it easy to contact the Notary directly – some don’t even mention that they can provide a Notarial Service! Are you missing out? For Notaries that do not have a web site, or notary partners of firms that do not specifically promote notarial services, we can host a ‘brochure’ web page for you within the MyNotary on-line presence. As we are experts in generating web site traffic, we know that by hosting a brochure page and linking it back to you firms’ web site, your on-line presence is enhanced! Of course it’s then your job to make sure that you make the most of visitors to your web site! Unless you call us in; we can devise, create, advise or comment on web sites generally.
